What is camera obscura?
a camera obscura is a dark room with a small hole in one wall. When it's bright outside, light enters through the hole and projects an upside down image of the outside world onto the wall opposite the hole. the name camera obscura is actually Latin and translates to "dark chamber". To make your own camera obscura just follow these simple steps:
1. Grab a long piece of black cardboard and fold it into 4 identical parts 2. Fold the parts to make a box and tape it together but only on the outside 3. Grab a piece of tracing paper and make a one centimetre cut on each side 4. Tape the tracing paper on one side of the box 5. Repeat step 4 but with black paper and cut a small circle in the middle 6. Stick the black paper on the other side of the box 7. Create a small cylinder that can fit into the hole and add a lens on top secure it with tape 8. You’ve finished the camera!
