Alex Yueng is a Chinese photographer based in Hong Kong. He takes pictures of buildings and trying to use the sky in his photography to create a whole new aspect in his photography. He takes pictures facing up to include the sky but still including parts of the building. Yueng framed his work by creating sleek cuts around the sky so it almost looks like the building is the frame and the sky is the picture. I really like the sky during his imagery and all the elegant shapes and dimensions. I really like the imagery because its really classy and just really eye capturing.

In these photos Romain uses the contrast of plants and man made products to show that nature will still grow no matter how urbanized the world really is. this creates a theme of nostalgia well to me because seeing the plants grow through the cracks in the walls and on the floors remind me that life will still grow no matter what which is empowering. in my personal opinion its not my favourite work but its alright I wouldn't like to do this again as it's very tiresome.

Rodney graham photographs pictures of trees but flipped upside down this is achieved by going outside on a walk to a forest or woods or maybe even a park just a place with trees, first way you could do this is taking the pictures just normally straight up then editing them upside down in photoshop or secondly you can flip your camera or phone upside down and doing It like that. I really like his work because the roots of the trees seems very much like a fantasy realm I also like to interpret the meaning of the photos because to be the roots look like veins in a human body in the photographs sometimes there's no colour involved which is ideal for me because I really like work that include little to no colour or very simplistic colouring as its more aesthetically pleasing to look at and that's very prominent in all my chosen artists

Christopher RelanderIn Christopher Relander's work he takes pictures of nature this could be leafs or trees or even flowers then after that he finds someone and take pictures of their face in different positions such as looking straight or looking to the side then he overlaps the nature images with the pictures of the human faces to create his work

Jasper JamesJasper James and Christopher Relander's works are very similar except from using nature Jasper uses City life with a bunch of buildings and the crowded streets in a city and similarly layers those images on top of people doing various poses I slightly prefer Jaspers work than Christopher because the city life creates a whole different feeling to his images which I enjoy more than nature because in North London you don't really see that much buildings compared to the endless amount of trees
My work inspired by Jasper |
